6 Exceptional “Youth With You 3” Trainees Who Were Recently Singled Out By BLACKPINK’s Lisa
In Episode 14 of Youth With You 3, the top 60 trainees were separated into two teams, A and B. The same songs that were used in the Team Battle episodes were again chosen for the Studio Evaluation Round. The mentors selected their favorite team among the two competitors as well as the overall MVP for each song.
Check out BLACKPINK Lisa‘s picks below!
1. “Cinderella”
Team A
Team B
First up, Lisa’s favorite team for CNBLUE‘s “Cinderella” was none other than Team B led by X. Her reason was simple: “Their feedback was better so I chose Team B.”
As for the top trainee of the round, she liked Neil the most. He was praised for his strong dancing and singing skills.
He’s a dark horse who is quickly gaining attention from the mentors and general public!
2. “OKAY”
Team A
Team B
Next up, “Okay” by Jackson Wang was the song that Lian Huaiwei and his friend Sun Yihang picked for their battle against each other. In the end, the latter’s Team A won through a unanimous vote.
Though Lian Huaiwei was chosen as the best individual trainee thanks to his singing, rapping, and dancing mastery, Lisa gave her vote to lead dancer BoogieFish.
I think Team A is great. I gave it a thought. I’m thinking BoogieFish or Rimiko. Rimiko is earnest in every performance, but BoogieFish is prominent today, so I vote for BoogieFish.
— Lisa
His popping skills during the dance break definitely stood out!
3. “TOU TOU”
Team A
Team B
“TOU TOU” was the cutest song of the evaluation! Jun Liu and Liang Sen pushed their limits by choosing this sugary sweet song instead of their usual tough concepts.
Though she liked both, Lisa’s favorite group was Team B in the end.
I think these two teams are well-matched. Every trainee in the two teams had their merits. But I think Team B made a lovely atmosphere for us and made us feel happy.
— Lisa
She praised their creativity and ended up picking one of the rappers as her favorites: “They also had cute ideas. This was a lovely song but they still perform so cute and handsome. For me, I would choose Drcchen.”
4. “STAND”
Team A
Team B
“STAND” was the last song that the mentors watched. Not only was it considered the most difficult one, it was also filled with members who were not chosen by the other leaders. It was definitely not the easiest round for them, but they were able to finish the performance on time. Will Pan, Chris Lee, Li Ronghao, and Lisa ended up picking Team A and rapper WD as the most outstanding among the two groups.
5. “HISTORY”
Team A
Team B
EXO‘s “History” was lauded as the most highly anticipated match-up among the six songs. Top ranked all-rounder Tony and second-place rising star Luo Yizhou competed as Team B and Team A respectively. After watching their performance, all mentors chose Team A as the best one.
As Lisa pointed out, it was their attention to detail that made them win.
Well I think what makes Team A better than Team B is that they were very neat and the teamwork is very good. They practiced well and took care of the details…[I felt like] Luo Yizhou brought one hundred percent confidence.
— Lisa
Surprisingly, Lisa picked neither Tony nor Luo Yizhou as the MVP of the round. Instead, she chose rapper S.Titch as the one who stood out the most.
As a matter of fact, I was also in a dilemma today about whether to pick Luo Yizhou or S.Titch. His chorus surprised me today. I think S.Titch did a very good job today.
— Lisa
6. “Stop Sugar”
Team A
Team B
Finally, “Stop Sugar” was one of the mentors’ favorite stages. They all chose Team B as the better group but they acknowledged Kachine‘s Team A, especially their teamwork considering his injury.
Lisa nominated Jiang Jingzuo from Team B as the top trainee of the round. His aura and overall capabilities made him the perfect center.
Jingzuo, I think he’s very charming. He was so into the music and the audience feels shy after watching. Such a perfect performance.
— Lisa
No wonder she picked him!
BLACKPINK’s Lisa is the sole dance mentor of iQIYI‘s survival program Youth With You 3. After the first elimination round, 118 trainees were narrowed down to just 60. She gave her guidance to each team in preparation for their public performances.
