Korean student gives amazing response to ‘homosexuality survey’ conducted by school

A Korean middle school student responds in the best way possible in the ‘homosexuality survey’ conducted by his school.

Homophobia exists in South Korea due to cultural differences, leading to many people to hide their sexual identities in order to be accepted in society. Although more and more people have been opening up to gay culture, South Korea is still considered a very hostile country to those with different sexual identities. Earlier we even reported that Super Junior member Choi Siwon posted homophobic tweets via Twitter that showed his disapproval of homosexuality. Although it was his personal opinion in regards to his religion, the tweets that he retweeted shocked fans and netizens.

“There shouldn’t be any measures. Homosexuality is personal preference that school should and cannot interfere with. It really bothers me and shocks me that there is a survey claiming to penalize or take measures against homosexuality.

It is like how someone who is shy takes a longer time to make friends and relationships and people who are neat take longer time to clean things. Homosexuality is also someone else’s tendency as well.

Before trying to establish wholesome and united environment in the school, this place, which should be a place of learning first anyways, should focus on growing it’s own level of maturity of thinking.

In order to make progress, this school clearly installed new grass in the schoolyard and purchased new boards for classrooms. Also, this school criticized those who wrote about discrimination in essay contests and focused on ‘equal rights’ in our core learnings.

But this survey, which I think it deserves to be thrown in the trash bin anyways, is very conservative and discriminatory. This can’t be more of a contradiction to what we learn in school. Really.”

[ +180 / -11] This student will become someone important one day

[ +134 / -17] Homosexuality is not a crime but why are they asking students to reveal identities and claim they’re going to penalize them;; The principle, who is probably old enough, is trying to act like he is leading students into the right path… Why criticize homosexuality when the principle probably isn’t living a perfect life either..

[ +118 / -13] It confuses me as well as make me laugh that such survey exist in school. Why is the principle acting this way. He does those actions and probably go around telling people he leads children..
