Girls’ Generation confirmed to headline KCON 2015 in New York
Girls’ Generation has been revealed to be the first line-up artist for the upcoming concert/ festival KCON 2015, this time for New York!
A week ago, Super Junior was named as the first group to be performing at the concert in Los Angeles, with the inclusion of Yesung who has recently been discharged from his military service.
This announcement revealed the first artist for New York, with fans eagerly awaiting news for what the new city stop would include for its first year.
KCON is the biggest K-Pop festival in the world, created in 2012 by Koreaboo, CJ E&M and Mnet. Now in it’s fourth year, the festival and concert seems to get gets bigger and bigger every year! From last year’s 2-day convention and concert held in Los Angeles, it has expanded to a 3-day convention this year, to be held at the Staples Center.
Out of the three days of convention from July 31st to August 2nd, there will be 2 nights of concerts held in Los Angeles. Besides that, KCON held its first concert in Japan last month and will also be heading to Prudential Center in Newark on August 8th.
