Former Boy Group Member To Allegedly Join “Boys II Planet”

After the success of Boys Planet and Girls Planet 999, Mnet will be coming back with the third season of the debut survival show. This time, a lineup will be selected from a pool of global male trainees. The show will be called Boys II Planet, referencing the reprised season.

One alleged contestant is already gaining attention. Fans deduced that Lee Seunghwan, a trainee from the first Boys Planet season, will be joining the show once more. Although he debuted as soloist ONLEE in December 2023, the singer archived all his posts in November 2024. This was around the time that potential candidates for the show were being recruited.

Seunghwan is no newbie to the showbiz.

Not only did he compete on Boys Planet…

…but he also previously competed on LOUD. He was eliminated in the first round. He also made his debut with the boy band 1THE9, despite disbanding in 2020. The group was formed through the survival show UNDER19.

Boys II Planet marks his third survival show. It will air in June or July 2025.
