SISTAR’s Hyorin feels victimised over “Unpretty Rapstar 2” editing
Despite advancing to the finals of Unpretty Rapstar 2, SISTAR’s Hyorin feels victimised over Mnet’s editing.
On November 6th, Mnet aired the special episode which featured collaboration performances featuring Hyorin and Basick, and Heize and EXO’s Chanyeol. However, as the program aired a segment featuring Hyorin commenting about Heize’s stage, part of her statement was allegedly edited, making it look like a diss.
This led to the singer to air her worries on her personal Instagram account saying, “This is not the truth. I am ruined due to evil editing… So sad.” She reveals that she did not only comment on Chanyeol’s looks, but also talked about his performance, adding that Chanyeol and Basick performed well together. She asked fans not to misunderstand as she did like their performances.
The update on Instagram was posted after the singer received negative responses from fans of the program, specifically fans of Chanyeol, as her own page remained flooded with comments since the broadcast ended. Up until now, the page continues to received mixed reactions from the program, leaving some to defend Hyorin and accept her apology.
This is not the first time that Mnet was criticised for its editing. Previously, Jay Park sparked anger for editing out his performance on Show Me The Money 4.
