Acclaimed Rapper Passes Away Suddenly After Announcing Tour Dates

The iconic Japanese hip-hop artist JJJ has tragically passed away.

On April 14 (local time), JJJ’s agency, Space Shower Music, put out an official statement confirming the heartbreaking news. They informed fans that the rapper passed away on April 13 at a Tokyo hospital. He was only 35 years old.

The cause of death has been kept undisclosed, and his funeral will be held privately as well, according to the wishes of the bereaved family.
The news has come as a great shock to fans who were looking forward to JJJ’s upcoming national tour. He had just announced his The Light tour on April 8. The concerts were scheduled to begin on June 8 in Hiroshima and continue across major Japanese cities. All the shows have now been officially canceled.
JJJ began his career as a part of the hip-hop group Fla$hBackS in 2013 but rose to fame as a soloist with his introspective lyrics and inter-genre soundscape. He was also an acclaimed producer, trackmaker, and DJ.
