Actor’s Untouched Photo Disappoints Netizens
An actor’s unedited photograph shocked netizens.
Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan surprised many with a recent photo of his real life visuals. He attended a public event in China for the skincare brand Clé de Peau Beauté, and it was here where a fan snapped a close-up photo of him.
The netizen commented that his face “appeared duller than usual.”
It disappointed some of his fans who were not used to seeing texture and other blemishes on the popular actor’s face. One commented, “This is what Jerry Yan, who is pushing 50, really looks like…”
They were doubly disappointed comparing this photo with the ones Jerry Yan posted on his Weibo account. They were noticeably different, with his complexion lighter and his skin flawless.
Of course, this was all thanks to good lighting, angles, and editing. Many fans also came to his defense, pointing out that he “already looks better than 99% of people his age” and that he “looks at least 10 years younger than his actual age.”
Jerry Yan earned international fame by starring as the male lead in the drama Meteor Garden. It aired in 2001 and starred Barbie Hsu, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, Vanness Wu, and of course, Jerry Yan.
