Idol Announces Her Retirement Less Than 4 Years After Debuting In A Girl Group
She is returning to her “own life.”

An idol has decided to step out of the spotlight and live once more as a non-celebrity.

Chinese singer Aria Jin (also known as Jin Zihan) has announced her retirement from the entertainment industry. This announcement comes less than four years after she debuted as a member of the Yuehua Entertainment girl group NAME on December 10, 2021.

Aria Jin, who debuted as the group’s main vocalist, left the group in November 2023 and continued on as a soloist.

On April 3, rumors began to spread that the former NAME member had quit the industry after she deleted all posts from her Weibo account. On April 8, Aria Jin confirmed the rumors, stating on Weibo, “I will return to my own life, and I hope everyone can understand my decision.”
