Divorced Actress Attends Her Rumored New Boyfriend’s Court Hearing
A twice-divorced singer-actress and her rumored new boyfriend are making headlines again! The pair, who have frequently been spending time together in public, recently presented a united front in court.
Last summer, Malaysian star Bella Astillah and Singaporean actor Aliff Aziz divorced for the second time after a string of scandals. At a press conference, Bella claimed her ex-husband had cheated on her with 11 women, including her own sister.
In January, rumors arose that Bella is now dating Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, a Malaysian politician, after they filmed a dance challenge together for TikTok. Although the two haven’t officially confirmed their relationship, moments such as Syed Saddiq’s romantic grand gesture and his own mother comparing him and Bella to Romeo and Juliet have kept the rumor mill running.
In 2023, Syed Saddiq was sentenced to seven years in prison and two strokes of the cane for multiple corruption-related charges, including money laundering. He subsequently appealed the conviction, and his appeal is now under review. On March 20, the 32-year-old politician appeared before the Court of Appeal for a scheduled two-day hearing, which ended with the court adjourning the proceedings to April 17.
Bella Astillah attended the hearing to show her support for Syed Saddiq. Both were photographed smiling as they left court together. “She is an extraordinary woman,” Syed Saddiq told reporters, “and I am indebted.”
