BINI Colet’s Sister Speaks Out Following “Embarrassing” Disturbances
A popular idol’s sister has addressed fans on behalf of her sister and their family. She is calling for overstepping fans to change their behavior.
BINI is a beloved P-Pop group composed of eight members: Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena. Since their debut in 2019, BINI has risen to fame while entertaining fans around the world. Unfortunately, some of these fans have failed to respect the members’ privacy.
On November 4, Colet’s sister, Arnie Jean Vergara, wrote a public Facebook post to address recent encounters with Colet’s fans. She began by asking fans to stop treating their family home like a tourist destination by constantly photographing it and revealing its location.
vergara fam flew all the way from bohol to support colet, they must be so so so proud of her 🥺💕 pic.twitter.com/Zyl9GtsgGm

Next time, we kindly ask that you avoid coming here early in the morning until evening and waiting around, as it’s embarrassing to the neighbors and causes disturbance. Aside from that, we’re uncomfortable with so many people waiting outside, constantly taking photos of the house as if it’s a tourist spot. Please grant us this safe space, and there’s no need to broadcast where it is located.

Arnie asked fans to be understanding and mindful to avoid inconveniencing other people. She also singled out people who did not have good intentions. “Hopefully, we don’t encounter you again,” she wrote.

To those who didn’t get a solo photo or picture, please understand that doing this in a public place can cause discomfort and inconvenience to others. Let’s use our understanding and be mindful of the situation. I know those who sincerely support BINI and Colet will understand, and we thank those who respectfully made their requests. We know some have different intentions and pretend to be upset; hopefully, we don’t encounter you again.

Arnie ended her post with a reminder; by approaching Colet during her time off, these fans are taking away from Colet’s time with her family and not allowing her to rest.
Most importantly, please give Colet a chance to rest and come home, because while you say ‘it’s only once in a while, especially for us as a family, who rarely get to be together, you’re taking away our time together for your own wishes. Let’s not forget that she isn’t only BINI Colet, but also a daughter and a sister to her family. A little respect, please. Thank you very much.

On social media, some BINI fans have expressed their own frustration with the behavior mentioned in Colet’s post. “Colet being a celebrity does not give you an all-access pass to her life,” one fan wrote.
Colet being a celebrity does not give you an all-access pass to her life. No, I’m not going to speak in code because some of you need to understand that being famous and achieving fame ≠ wanting to be disrespected and having their privacy invaded. She should feel safe to be in…
