Even with a mask, the manager’s striking appearance caught netizens’ attention, and “Cheng Lei’s assistant” reportedly became a trending hashtag on Weibo. According to media reports, some fans criticized the manager for upstaging Cheng by styling Cheng in unflattering clothing, even going so far as to say that the manager should be fired.
