Actor With Secret Child Addressed A Misunderstanding About His Love Life
Many celebrities try to keep their private lives out of the spotlight, and one managed to do it for over a decade.
Less than two weeks after proposing to his girlfriend, Taiwanese-American actress Becky Su, Taiwanese actor Danson Tang revealed that he is a father and has been since his late twenties.

At 28 years old, Danson Tang found out that his girlfriend at the time was expecting. For eleven years, the actor managed to successfully–despite rumors–keep his son out of the public eye.
Eleven years ago, my girlfriend and I found out that she was pregnant and decided to have the child even though we were not married. However, we broke up a few years ago, but decided we would raise the child together.

Just a few months after the actor confirmed those rumors, news outlets reported that he now has a second son with Becky Su. She confirmed, via Weibo, that the boy is her son and tagged Danson Tang in the post.
I have been looking for a good time to tell you all about my little lover.

Although Danson Tang’s rumored children have attracted attention, so has his proposal. It was rumored that he had been forced to propose to Becky Su on the Chinese reality show Call Me By Fire.

Taiwanese media reported that fellow Call Me By Fire contestants Tiger Hu and Lu Yi had pushed Danson Tang to ask Becky Su to marry him. The actor, at the time, did not have his own ring to propose with and had to borrow one from another contestant, Taiwanese singer Jimmy Lin.
Danson Tang shot down the forced proposal rumor by clarifying the situation via a Weibo post. He wrote:
I did not expect the proposal to cause such a big controversy. I mentioned to my ‘brothers’ during our frequent chats that I had plans for a proposal, but never found the right time to do it.
This was already something I had planned to do and I was not pushed or coerced to do so. It was just that my thoughts were fully focused on my performance.
