Actor Announces His Marriage To His Girlfriend Of 10 Years
A celebrity couple, who have described themselves as “chill,” got married on March 28. How long did they date? Who fell first? Nobody knows — including them.
Desmond Ng is a Singaporean actor and singer under the media conglomerate Mediacorp. Since making his acting debut in 2016, he has appeared in over a dozen television series, including Emerald Hill and Hope Afloat. His wife, Kanny Theng, is a Singaporean model, actress, TV host, and abstract artist.
The couple met through mutual friends and have been dating for around a decade, but they don’t know the exact timeline. They started out as friends.

Originally, Ng and Theng, who say they “are not very traditional,” planned to register their marriage on March 28 and skip the wedding dinner. They changed their minds six months ago after discussing their plans with their families. Instead, of skipping the festivities entirely, they opted for something in the middle: an intimate wedding dinner with about a hundred guests, most of them friends and family.
We could tell from the tone of their voices that they were expecting something, so I think it is proper that we at least hold something to make our parents feel good. March 28 is also an auspicious date, which falls on Kanny’s birthday month, so it can be a date we use to mark our relationship from now on.
