Girl Group Successfully Returns From Hiatus After All Members Got Pregnant

Becoming a parent is a huge event that can dramatically change an individual’s life. This is especially true for celebrities, who must find ways to balance their new status as parents with their careers.

However, many stars return to the spotlight, like After School‘s Kahi.

Recently, a girl group returned to the spotlight after some baby-related news.

The girl band Hump Back was created in 2009. Around 2015, the group underwent line-up changes to reach their current three-membered lineup. The group signed to a label in 2016 and released their first full album in 2019.

In June 2023, the group announced a hiatus as a band member was pregnant but did not clarify who it was. Surprisingly enough, on May 16th, 2024, the band returned to announce that all three members had given birth to healthy children!

The group shared they would be active as a “married women’s band,” with the promise of activities.

While it would have been understandable for the group to have returned to activities because of their new life circumstances, Hump Back have held true on their promise!

Since the May announcement, Hump Back have been active on social media and held radio programs on YouTube. The group also released an animated lyric video for one of their older tracks.

On October 13, the group made multiple announcements on their X account, sharing a new group photo. They also announced the release of a new song called “明るい葬式” and a concert titled Maternity Leave Thank You scheduled to take place in December!
