Usually, when something happens involving a star, their agency will issue a statement either confirming or denying the news. These can range from announcements of an idol going on hiatus to confirmation of a relationship.

Recently, an agency’s announcement of a “break-up” went viral.

Due to their chemistry, some actors in different countries will end up paired during their careers. In Thailand, this happens with many acting pairs, with those appearing in BL (boy love) series being some of the most popular internationally.

Actors “Nanon” Korapat Kirdpan and “Ohm” Pawat Chittsawangdee first appeared together in the series Bad Buddy in 2021. Both actors were already active, but the series helped them gain exposure internationally, and the pair saw a huge amount of popularity.

The two actors heavily promoted the series, even holding fan meetings for fans to attend.

However, unlike other set pairings, their interactions gradually waned as each took on other acting projects. Many were initially left wondering if something had happened between the pair as a reason for the distance but hoped they would eventually work together again.

These hopes have since been entirely stamped out with an announcement.

On July 31, GMMTV, the television production and talent agent subsidiary that the stars worked under, shared a statement stating that the two actors had decided to announce their official “separation” as they pursued other projects.

Reactions were varied as some fans were left wondering why the announcement took so long to make.
