Hong Kong Top Group MIRROR’s Solo Concert Series Ends On A High Note With Anson Kong’s Performances
Back in May 2023, Hong Kong’s top idol boy group MIRROR announced a solo concert series for 6 of its 12 members, Jer Lau, Anson Lo, Keung To, Edan Lui, Ian Chan, and Anson Kong (also known as AK).
While Jer Lau, Anson Lo, Keung To, and Edan Lui already held their shows in the summer of 2023, Ian Chan recently finished his performances on July 19 – 25, and AK closed out the concert series on July 29 – 30.
Before joining MIRROR, AK trained in South Korea to debut in a boy group. One of the songs he practiced a lot during his trainee days was BIGBANG Taeyang‘s “Eyes, Nose, Lips,” which he performed for the audience during his solo concert.
When things didn’t work out in South Korea, he went back to Hong Kong and became a backup dancer. Hence, his concert was also filled with dance performances!
Prior to the shows, AK had already spoiled that, as a total extrovert with lots of friends, there would be a few guests present to enjoy the stage with him. In the end, he invited not only local artists from Hong Kong but also guests from Japan and the United States!
His fellow group member Tiger Yau and their guitar teacher Tin Hang also joined AK on stage during the second day of the concert!
Although AK treated the crowd to spectacular stages, the idol only gave himself 50 out of 100 in an interview after the second show. He believes improvements could be made on various aspects of the shows, given this was his first solo concert.
His fans will definitely stay by his side and support him as he continues to grow as an artist!
