Idol Personally Declares He’s Seeking A Romantic Relationship With Popular Actress
A top idol has publicly declared his desire to be in a romantic relationship with a popular actress.
The idol is 27-year-old Edan Lui, a member of Hong Kong’s top boy group MIRROR. He’s become one of the most popular idols in Hong Kong after debuting in 2018.
He’s currently trying to pursue Lin Min Chen, a 34-year-old Malaysian actress who’s become one of the top celebrities in Hong Kong in recent years.
The pair was first rumored to be together in July when they were spotted dining in Europe.
Because of how popular Lin Min Chen is, netizens even called Edan Lui “the pride of Hong Kong” for allegedly dating the actress.
However, at that time, Edan Lui denied the rumors, saying they were in Europe for work and are simply friends.
Fast forward to September, Edan Lui was again asked about his rumors with Lin Min Chen. This time, he admitted they were getting to know each other.
However, many fans were not convinced this was true and firmly believed his words were taken out of context. As such, conflicting information circulated online.
Finally, on September 10, Edan Lui personally and directly addressed the matter on Threads.

“I’ve seen way too much gossip out there. I can’t stand seeing this kind of situation, so I want to clarify what’s happening.
Last night, I saw a Threads post containing guesses that were unfair to the girl, so I wanted to respond and get them to stop randomly guessing. However, I decided not to in the end as I didn’t want to create new issues. In the process, I accidentally liked the post and caused a misunderstanding.
I don’t want to affect the girl’s reputation anymore, so I want to address the matter for one last time here.
Min Chen is a great girl. I like her a lot and is currently seeking a romantic relationship with her. I hope to have a chance to develop a relationship with her. However, we’re really just friends at this time, and nothing else. I hope everyone can give us space and stop making guesses.”

Lin Min Chen has yet to speak on the matter.
