Idol-Actor And Actress Reportedly Dating IRL After Starring In A Drama As A Couple

It was recently reported that Japanese actor and member of SixTONES Morimoto Shintaro and actress Morikawa Aoi were caught dating.

The media outlet Shukan Bushun (comparable to Korea’s Dispatch) shared alleged photos of Morimoto and Morikawa returning from a vacation to Thailand. The photos show the pair walking through the airport, with Morikawa rubbing Morimoto’s back.

More images from their return show the two getting into a car together and leaving the airport.

Morimoto has been active in the industry for nearly two decades under the famous Johnny & Associates. He debuted as a member of sixTONES in 2015.

Morikawa Aoi began her career as a model for the Japanese magazine Seventeen. Her acting debut happened in 2013, when she appeared in a lead role in the film School Girl Complex.

Morimoto and Morikawa appeared in the 2024 series Machinami Terasu Yatsura (Rise For The Town), about a man (played by Morimoto) running a scam to save the cake shop he inherited from his parents. Morikawa plays his on-screen wife during the series.
