Tsai married actress Hsiao Hui Yu in 2000. The couple has two sons and two daughters. But in recent years, the veteran director is said to be struggling with debt issues, and his marriage has also taken a hit. He reportedly lives separately from his wife.
According to reports, Tsai met Sang Na during the filming of the drama Seven. While Tsai was the director, she had a small role in the project. It is speculated that the relationship between the two is the reason why Tsai’s marriage is in trouble currently.
Sang Na, the 27-year-old actress, has been steadily rising in her career with appearances in hit shows like Insect Mahjong Museum (2017) and Cry Me A River of Stars (2021). Before kicking off her career, she graduated from the prestigious Central Academy of Drama.
