Abducted Actor Shocks With Changed Appearance Following His Rescue

He was rescued two days after he went missing.

A missing actor has been located and rescued after going missing near the Myanmar-Thailand border. The abduction happened after he travelled to Bangkok, Thailand for a TV shoot.

On January 4, 31-year-old Chinese actor Wang Xing (better known by his stage name Xingxing) suddenly disappeared from the Thai town of Mae Sot. According to his girlfriend, Jiajia, she had lost contact with Wang after he’d entered a vehicle. Wang was reportedly forced by armed men into a car near the border.

He was found two days later by Myanmar authorities before being handed over to Thai authorities on January 7.

According to news reports, Thai police have launched an investigation into the disappearance to determine if Wang was a victim of human trafficking or the victim of a scam by Chinese nationals. During his abduction, Wang was held hostage in a building with about fifty other people from various countries.

The changes in Wang’s appearance are also giving the public a glimpse into his ordeal. Wang’s head was shaved, and the middle of his forehead was allegedly bruised during his disappearance.

In an interview following his rescue, Wang thanked the Thai authorities for their help and expressed his desire to visit the country again. Wang and his girlfriend reunited in Thailand on January 8.
