Woman Discovers She Attended Her Husband’s Wedding At 9 Years Old

While flipping through a wedding album, one woman made a startling discovery; she and her husband had met at his wedding 15 years ago.

The Indonesian woman, Renata Fadhea, who was 24 years old at the time of her discovery, is married to a man 38 years her senior. She is not the 62-year-old’s first or second wife, but rather his third.

While looking at photos from her husband’s second wedding in 2009, Renata Fadhea discovered a picture of herself, then age 9, standing near her future husband. He would have been 47 years old at the time.

Why was Renata at the wedding? As it turns out, her husband is also her aunt’s nephew, making her and her husband distant relatives. They met for the first time at his wedding, but they didn’t see each other again until a decade later, during the year that Renata turned 19, and he turned 57. They wed a year later, in 2020, and Renata gave birth to their first child in 2021.

Now, three years later, Renata’s unusual love story has gone viral. Back in May, she shared her story via TikTok videos, and the first video quickly racked up over 1M views, according to a report by the South China Morning Post.
