They went through a training program similar to K-Pop idols.

Each year, the WATERBOMB festival grows, even expanding to new locations outside Korea. In addition to being a fun event to beat the heat, WATERBOMB can also introduce performers to a new audience, earning them attention and potential new fans.

Last year, soloist Kwon Eunbi saw a massive rise in popularity due to her attendance at multiple events, launching her career to new heights.

A clip of their performance was posted online days after the event and belatedly caught the attention of those online.

YGIG is a currently five membered girl group that debuted in 2022 under SBTown. SBTown’s CEO was formerly the president of ShowBT Entertainment, the company that debuted SB19.

The group’s members — Hazelyn, Vien, Jewel, Alexei, and Maeg — were part of a K-Pop-like training program under ShowBT Entertainment, beating out 20,000 others and training for four years to debut.
