SISTAR and Boyfriend to perform at Korea-China joint star concert in Beijing
On December 23rd, SISTAR announced that the group and label-mate Boyfriend would be performing as part of a Korea-China joint star concert in Beijing.
The groups, who are both part of Starship Entertainment, will be performing alongside Chinese artists 0086 and Jin Zenan. China is definitely a big market for K-pop, and has hosted many Korean concerts in the past year. Starship Entertainment artists appear to expanding to the international market with SISTAR scheduled to perform in the Philippines on December 28th and Boyfriend scheduled to hold their first Malaysian mini-concert in January.
SISTAR was already named among the top three artists among Korean citizens in Gallup Korea‘s 2014 popularity poll, and even won the coveted Best Female Group award at the 2014 MAMA. With this upcoming Korea-China concert, their guest appearance at duo HOMME’s first concert When HOMME Met Femme on December 24th, and their performance at the 6th annual KPOP Convention in the Philippines on December 28th, SISTAR definitely has a packed schedule ahead of them.
The Korea-China joint star concert will be held at Master Card Center in Beijing on January 3rd at 7:00PM local time.
