WEi Members Reveal Their Personal Favorites From The Latest Mini-Album “Love Pt.2 : Passion”
WEi, a six-membered boy group under OUI Entertainment, dropped their latest mini-album, “Love Pt.2 : Passion,” in October 2022 amid high anticipation from K-Pop fans. Having celebrated its second debut anniversary the same month, this rookie sextet shared sheer excitement at finally coming out of the pandemic and promoting to a live audience for the first time since its debut.
In an exclusive interview with Koreaboo, WEi talked about the huge accomplishment that is “Love Pt.2 : Passion,” and their favorites from the meaningful album!
The new fifth mini-album, according to Seokhwa, meant a lot to the members because it was “the first promotion [they] have ever done with [the] fans” cheering for them in person.
[On tour,] we were able to perform in so many venues. And right after, we started promoting our 5th mini album. This was the first promotion we have ever done with our fans in person to cheer us on, so we tried our best to perform and make RUi proud.

Yongha shared that “Love Pt.2 : Passion” had been challenging to produce—in WEi’s attempt to “find [their] own color.”
In the end, the album was able to capture “a new side of WEi” to share with RUi.
To find WEi’s own color, we gave ourselves a lot of challenges in this album. Since ‘Special Holiday’ is a bright song, singing it made me feel really happy. So the recording went smoothly.
Among our B-Side tracks, I really like the song ‘ROSE’! Being a Latin-genre song, it definitely shows a new side of WEi to our fans, and I hope they enjoy it.

While the cheerful “Special Holiday” enchanted Yongha’s heart, Donghan found a more comforting song to be his favorite.
I think ‘ROSE’ was the most exciting and we recorded it really smoothly. Personally, I also love the song ‘Umbrella.’ It’s a song that really comforts you, so I strongly recommend it.

For WEi, “Love Pt.2 : Passion” became a much-needed opportunity to really show off their presence on stage and “make RUi proud” indeed!
