Girls’ Generation’s to release their first single as 8 members in April
Girls’ Generation will be resuming music promotion activities for the first time since the announcement of Jessica‘s withdrawal from the girl group in September.
According to music officials, Girls’ Generation will be regrouping as eight members and releasing a new Japanese single this spring titled “Catch Me If You Can.” This will be the first single release from the popular Korean girl group since September 2013, having only released a “Best of” album in the land of the rising sun in the past year.
This upcoming single is particularly gaining a lot of attention as it is the first to not include Jessica, who departed the team in September and became a full-time designer for her company and brand, BLANC & ECLARE.
After a full rest, Girls’ Generation will be departing for Japan in March where they are expected to prepare for their music promotions.
