Prosecutor looking to sentence Ladies’ Code road manager with 2.5 years of jail time
Prosecutors are looking to imprison Ladies’ Code’s road manager with a lenient sentence of two years and six months in jail, says the latest report from Korean media portals.
On December 9th, the Suwon District Prosecution Office revealed they are demanding a jail sentence of two years and six months for Mr. Park (27) as part of role in the fatal car accident that killed two members of Ladies’ Code, EunB and RiSe in September 2014. The prosecution team did not go into further details regarding the sentence they are looking for.
Mr. Park is known to have accepted his situation and recognizing his fault, saying, “I did my best to take the correct safety measures following the accident and called 119. I deeply regret the error in my judgement and am reflecting over that one moment. I sincerely apologize to everyone, including the family members and fans, who have fallen into great sorrow because of this situation. Please give me the chance to work harder in life.”
Ladies’ Code was involved in a car accident on September 3rd, 2014 at 1:20AM KST, their van crashing into the highway’s wall. EunB was declared dead at the scene, while member RiSe passed four days later at the hospital.
The final hearing of this court case will be held on January 15th, 2015 at 2PM KST.
