South Korea’s Jeju Island is known for it’s vast natural beauty, delicious mandarins, and unique dialect. The locals often refer to their isle as the “Island of the Gods”—and they might be onto something. Here are 10+ idols from Jeju Island who are simply heavenly.
1. Joy (Red Velvet)
Red Velvet’s Joy was born on Jeju Island, but she doesn’t remember much of it since she moved to Seoul when she was very young.
2. Jay (iKON)
iKON’s Jay was born on Jeju Island and lived there until he moved to Seoul to become an idol. He left Jeju alone, and his mother still runs a café on the island.
3. Baekho (NU’EST)
NU’EST’s Baekho was born on Jeju Island and spent his entire life there until he was cast to become an idol. He still uses his hometown for songwriting inspiration.
