10 Latest Captivating Nicknames ARMYs Gave BTS Jungkook And How He Earned Them

From cute to sultry Jungkook ARMYs have it covered.

Throughout his ten years in the K-Pop industry, BTS Jungkook has been blessed with many terms of endearment and nicknames by ARMY. As years passed, more nicknames have surfaced, lifted from RUN BTS episodes, other BTS content, and situations Jungkook was in.

Here are the latest nicknames ARMYs have endearingly coined for Jungkook.

1. Boba Ball

Boba balls are Tapioca balls, those shiny black little balls found in milk tea and other cold drinks. Jungkook got this nickname because of his round-shaped head, which looked like a perfect boba ball back when he was still sporting a bowl cut.

2. Tingting Ball

In their RUN BTS 100th episode, as they played foot volleyball, Jungkook was asked if he was ok with using the pink ball he was holding, to which he responded, “Tingting ball?” There was a certain ASMR feel to how Jungkook enunciated this: ARMYs couldn’t let go of it and added “Tingting Ball” to one of his many nicknames. As proof of its ASMR quality, there exists a 3-minute video on Youtube of Jungkook saying “tingting ball” on loop.

Fun Fact: Tingting ball means super bouncy ball.

3. Baby Star Candy

This endearing nickname is used whenever Jungkook is seen doing something adorable or looking cute.

The nickname started from BTS’s 2020 GAYO DAEJEON Bangtan Bomb, where Jungkook saw RM eating star-shaped candies by himself. Since then, the star-shaped candies got associated with Jungkook’s cuteness.

4. Giant Baby Villain

During the 2022 Season’s Greetings shoot, Jungkook was shown working on a punching bag and hit the bag so strongly that it almost toppled a nearby lamp stand. The subtitle caption inserted by their video editor was, “it’s a little tough for the giant baby villain to control his power.” The giant baby villain description so aptly fitted Jungkook, with his muscular body yet baby-like gestures.

5. Triangle Gimbap

“Triangle Gimbap” came about when BTS went to New Zealand to shoot Bon Voyage 4. Suga noticed the similarity of Jungkook’s hair to a triangle gimbap and affectionately joked about it.

Jungkook acknowledged this when he checked his hair in another episode.

6. Baby Foodie

Another nickname was born from the RUN BTS Editors, experts at putting out witty and funny blurbs into the episodes. In RUN BTS Episode 142, Jungkook was nicknamed “Baby Foodie” as he discussed with chef Baek Jong Won the goodness of napa cabbage when paired with ssamjang.

7. Alphabet Boy

BTS members opened their individual Instagram accounts on December 6, 2021. While the other members stuck to using more common references to their IG account names, Jungkook wittily named his account “abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz,” practically the whole alphabet leaving out the letters “j” and “k.” ARMYs loved the witty representation of his nickname “JK” and referred to him as “Alphabet Boy.”

Alas, the witty account name was short-lived because by March of this year, Jungkook changed his IG account name to the lesser complicated Jungkook.97.

8. Baby Highness

This new nickname came about when Jungkook started playing HYBE‘s latest game, “BTS Island: In The SEOM.” Baby Highness trended in Korea, embraced by ARMYs as a valid, on-point nickname for Jungkook, who has since been referred to with this new endearment.

9. Sundoongie

Suga’s dad affectionately calls Jungkook “Sundoongie,” which means gentle. Considering his gentle ways, the term fits Jungkook so well that ARMYs have adapted the term as one of Jungkook’s nicknames.

10. Vampire Jungkook

This latest nickname was brought about by the photo-folio project showcasing Jungkook’s vampire-like styling and theme. The “Me, Myself, and Jung Kook ‘Time Difference’ Special 8 PhotoFolio” is an 80-page photo book filled with Vampire Jungkook vibes, a welcome treat for ARMYs.
