As the eldest member of BTS, Jin often carries the burden of leading the charge and keeping the balance among the seven members of the group. When it comes to bringing chaotic energy into the equation, he makes no exception. Here are ten iconic moments when Jin cemented his position as the most “zero chills” idol in existence.

1. Birthday cake from hell

Human beings have lived so long with the misconception that to cut a cake, you need a utensil like a knife. Jin had to prove the theory wrong and enlighten the mere mortals.

2. Reality check 101

As a loving idol, Jin never forgets to remind fans how to stay rooted in reality. So, when he encounters a marriage proposal, he makes sure the rejection is loud and ringing.

Sometimes, he would even get the job done on behalf of his other members too.

3. Fireworks in the morning? Why not?

We love a man who lives by his own rules. Are the other members sleeping? That sounds like a them problem.

4. He changed Belgium’s history single-handedly

In his defense, “Belgium waffle” has a ring to it that “Brussels” never will.

5. Undefeatable birthday wishes for his members

Curating exciting and original birthday messages for your loved ones is an art, and Jin has spent an eternity mastering it like no one else.

6. When he unleashed his inner Eminem at RM

Years ago, Jin had gifted RM wet tissues for Christmas. When RM wasn’t too elated with his present, Jin’s historic monologue was born, altering ARMY’s brain chemistry forever.

There is something about Jungkook that just brings out Jin’s chaotic elder sibling energy the fastest.

8. When he showed the highs and lows of DYI-ing hairstyles

In 2018, Jin was done with his long bangs and took matters into his own hands. All he had was a pair of kitchen scissors and a vision.

The next year, he took it a step further and dyed his hair purple by himself. Though on Weverse he lamented that the dye job had failed, his purple hair look actually went down in history.

9. One-sided beef with a sandbag

During his short staycation while filming In The Soop season 1, Jin found a worthy nemesis in an inanimate sandbag. Nobody knows what the beef was about, but everyone cheered each time he gave the bag a ceremonial hit every morning.

10. When he went to Park Myung Soo’s show with receipts

While promoting his single, “The Astronaut,” Jin appeared on Park Myung Soo’s YouTube channel, Hal Myung Soo. The host revealed that he had met BTS in 2014 when they were just rookies, and Jin didn’t hesitate to complete the story, revealing how Park had refused to take a picture with the group back then. Though he confronted the host only jokingly, it was probably one of the most badass moments of him on camera.
