Recently, Dreamworks Studios’ Minions: The Rise of Gru opened to a record-breaking box office weekend. The adorable yellow titular characters have had a place in many a K-Pop idol’s hearts, leading many to dress like them or have fans make comparisons.
Here are 11 idols that dressed like Minions:
1. Chung Ha
During her I.O.I days, Chung Ha dressed as a Minion for the group’s Amigo TV episodes.
2. Xiumin (EXO)
For the 2018 SMTOWN WONDERLAND Halloween party, Xiumin was one of three SM Entertainment idols to dress as a Minion. EXO-L were lucky enough to have Minion Xiumin turned into an official photocard!
3. Yuri (Girls’ Generation)
Girls’ Generation’s Yuri was another SM idol to dress as a Minion for the 2018 SMTOWN WONDERLAND Halloween party.
4. Kun (NCT)
NCT’s Kun was the third idol to dress as a Minion for the 2018SMTOWN WONDERLAND Halloween party. Kun committed to the costume, painting himself yellow.
5. Wendy (Red Velvet)
For episode seven of Pajama Friends Red Velvet‘s Wendy was an adorable Minion, contrasting with Joy’s sexy officer outfit.
6. N.Flying
During arrivals for the Halloween episode of M Countdown in 2015, all members of N.Flying dressed as Minions. The group really seemed to love the outfits!
7. Hongjoong (ATEEZ)
While ATEEZ visited Universal Studios, fans were excited to see Hongjoong dressed very Minion-esque. Mingi even calls Hongjoong “Korea Big Minion,” much to his embarrassment.

8. Sunggyu (INFINITE)
On day three of INFINITE‘s 2017 INFINITE Fan Meeting Begin Again, Sunggyu dressed up as a Minion, abet an adorably disgruntled one.
9. Yugyeom (GOT7)
While GOT7‘s Jackson Wang was featured on the new movie’s official soundtrack, Yugyeom is the one who gave his best Minions impersonation!

10. RM (BTS)
BTS members have been compared to Minions more than once, however in this case it seems like it was just a lucky coincidence RM channeled his inner Minion.
11. Jimin (BTS)
BTS‘ Jimin may be the only Minion-approved cosplayer on this list! During an episode of Run BTS, Jimin wore the signature Minion outfit leading the official Minions and Illumination Studios accounts to respond.
