Here are 11 K-Pop Groups That Debuted 10 Years Ago

These classic K-Pop groups are 10 years old in 2020!

There are so many idol groups and soloists these days, breaking records and taking strides, all in their own ways. But there are some groups who, even though they debuted a while ago and even disbanded, still have a special place in our hearts! Here are 11 groups that debuted in the year 2010, and are 10 years old in 2020!

1. CNBLUE

CNBLUE first debuted in Japan in 2009, and made their official Korean debut in 2010 under FNC Entertainment, with the mini album Bluetory and title track “I’m A Loner”. Originally a 4 piece-group, the band regrouped into a 3 member group when Lee Jonghyun left the band in August 2019 due to his arising scandals. 2 of the members, Kang Minhyuk and Lee Jungshin, are currently enlisted in the military, while Jung Yonghwa was discharged from the military in November 2019.

The group has been on hiatus ever since 2017 due to the military enlistment of the members. Their last Korean release as a 4 member group was the mini album Blueming, and title track “You’re So Fine”.

2. Girl’s Day

Girl’s Day is a 4 member group that debuted in June 2010 under Dream T Entertainment, and is currently comprised of the members Sojin, Minah, Yura and Hyeri. Originally debuting with a different lineup, Hyeri and Yura were added to the group a few months after Girl’s Day’s debut to replace 2 members that had previously left the group. With the departure of one more member in 2012, they have remained a 4 member group ever since. They debuted with the mini album Girls Day Party #1, and title track “Tilt My Head”.

After the members did not renew their contracts with their agency, they have been focusing on individual activities, and the group is currently on hiatus. Their last release was in March 2017, with the mini album Everyday #5, and title track “I’ll Be Yours”.

3. GD&T.O.P

A subunit from the group BIGBANG, GD&T.O.P is comprised of the members G-Dragon and T.O.P, and made their unit debut in November 2010 under YG Entertainment, with the mini album GD & TOP. Three singles were released to promote the album, “High High”, “Oh Yeah” and “Knockout”.

The unit is currently on hiatus, with their last release being the single “Zutter” from BIGBANG’s E album, released in 2015.

4. Infinite

Infinite debuted in June 2010 under Woollim Entertainment, with the mini album First Invasion and title track “Come Back Again”. Originally a 7-member group comprised of Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Hoya, Woohyun, Sungyeol, L and Sungjong, they became a 6 member group in 2017, when Hoya did not renew his contract with Woollim Entertainment. In August 2019, L revealed that while he did not renew his contract with Woollim Entertainment, he is still a member Infinite.

The group is currently on hiatus due to the members’s military service duties, with their last release being the single “Clock”, released in February 2019.

5. JYJ

JYJ debuted in 2010 under C-JeS Entertainment, and is comprised of Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu. The 3 members were previously part of TVXQ under SM Entertainment, but left the group in 2009 while filing a lawsuit against SM Entertainment citing unfair treatment. They were established by Rhythm Zone, a sub label of Japanese label Avex, where they made their official debut in Japan with the mini album The… . Their last release as a 3 member group was the full album Just Us, with title track “Back Seat”.

In April 2019, Yoochun departed from he group after he tested positive for drugs, and announced his retirement from the industry, thus making JYJ a 2 member group. In February 2020, however, Yoochun revealed his intentions to return to the entertainment industry.

6. Miss A

Miss A debuted in July 2010 under JYP Entertainment, with the single “Bad Girl Good Girl”, as a 4 member group made up of Fei, Jia, Min and Suzy. After 6 years of being with the group, Jia left JYP in 2016, with Min following suit a year later. With 2 out of 4 members no longer in the group, JYP Entertainment officially announced their disbandment in December 2017. At the time, both Fei and Suzy were still signed to the agency; however in February 2019, Fei left the company to sign with Huayi Brothers to focus on a solo career in China. Suzy left the agency in March 2019 and signed a contract with the agency Management SOOP soon after.

Their last release as a group was in 2015, with the mini album Colors and title track “Only You”.

7. Nine Muses

Nine Muses debuted in August 2010 under Star Empire Entertainment. After going through a multitude of lineup changes, the latest lineup of Nine Muses was comprised of 4 members in 2019: Kyungri, Hyemi, Sojin and Keumjo.

The group disbanded in February 2019, after the release of their last single, “Remember”.

8. Orange Caramel

Orange Caramel, the first subunit of After School, debuted in June 2010 under Pledis Entertainment, with their first mini album The First Mini Album, and title track “Magic Girl”. The group is comprised of members Nana, Raina and Lizzy. Since 2015, the group members have been focusing on solo promotions, and in May 2018, Lizzy left the agency and After School, but stated that she had not left the subunit. In 2019, Nana renewed her contract with Pledis Entertainment, while Raina left After School as well as the agency, but there was no statement about her activities with the subunit.

The unit’s future is currently unclear, while their last release was in 2014, with the single “My Copycat”.

9. SISTAR

SISTAR debuted in June 2010 under Starship Entertainment, with the single “Push Push”. The group is comprised of 4 members: Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou and Dasom. They released their first mini album a year later in August 2011, titled So Cool.

The group disbanded in June 2017, after the release of their last single “Lonely”, and the members are pursuing solo careers under different agencies.

10. Teen Top

Teen Top debuted in July 2010 under TOP Media, with the mini album Come Into The New World and title track “Clap”. Originally consisting of 6 members; C.A.P, Chunji, Niel, Ricky, L.Joe and Changjo, they regrouped into a 6 member group in 2017 after L.Joe filed a request for contract termination.

Their last release was in June 2019, with the mini album Dear. N9NE, and title track “Run Away”.

11. ZE:A

ZE:A debuted in January 2010 under Star Empire Entertainment, with the single album Nativity and title track “Mazeltov”. The group is comprised of 9 members: Kevin, Hwang Kwanghee, Park Hyungsik, Im Siwan, Moon Junyoung, Kim Taeheon, Jung Heechul, Ha Minwoo and Kim Dongjun. The group has been on hiatus since 2017, owing to the military enlistments of the members. The group members as well as the agency officially announced in 2017 that the group would not be disbanding, but are on hiatus, and will return when the timing is right.

Their last release was in September 2015, with a compilation album titled ZE:A Best Album and lead track “Continue”.
