12 Female K-Pop Idols Who Boldly Show Off Their Tattoos
While there aren’t as many female idols with tattoos as there are male idols, the ones who do rock them with confidence. From colorful and playful little pieces to heartfelt phrases, here are some female idols who aren’t afraid to show off their tattoos.
1. HyunA
HyunA has many small tattoos dotted across her body, one of her earliest being her cute row of colored emoji faces. Many of them are forms of lettering, like the phrase “My mother is the heart that keeps me alive” written on the back of her shoulder.
More recently, she has become bolder with her tattoos, including one on her back, showcasing the myriad of tattoos she has received.
2. MAMAMOO’s Hwasa
Hwasa has multiple , from her baptismal name “Maria” written on the back of her neck, to a matching tattoo with Wheein of the word “Caddo” on the side of her neck, meaning “someone who carries your sorrows on her back.”
Hwasa also has “Resonance” tattooed on her ankle… which is shared with fellow MAMAMOO member Wheein.
3. MAMAMOO’s Wheein
Wheein has more than 10 tattoos, like two colorful butterflies on her forearm and a small watercolor flower on her hand.

4. MAMAMOO’s Moonbyul
Moonbyul also has a collection of tattoos scattered across her body, from a line art style family portrait on the back of her arm, to a timeline of important events in her life on her ankle.
5. F(x)’s Amber Liu
Amber is one of the few k-pop idols with a full tattoo sleeve, a collection of both meaningful and spontaneous tattoos that act as personal memories saved on her skin.
6. Nana (formerly of After School)
Nana sports tattoos across her whole body, from a spider web on her should to a butterfly behind her left knee.
She also has a swan on the back of her right shoulder and a flower on her back.

12. Red Velvet’s Wendy
Wendy was spotted with a few tattoos in the music video for “Psycho”, including a small cross in the middle of her chest, “you are in my heart” written across her collarbone, and a finger tattoo that says “love”.
