22 Songwriters Who Collaborated With BTS On “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7”
BTS‘s upcoming album has a total of 20 songs; 5 are from their previous album, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA, and the remaining 15 are brand new. In addition to BTS’s go-to producers, here 22 talented songwriters who had the honor of working with BTS on MAP OF THE SOUL: 7.
1. Sia – “ON”
This Australian singer-songwriter features on the digital bonus track version of “ON”. Sia has not collaborated with BTS before, but many ARMYs are already familiar with her megahits “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart”.

2. Troye Sivan
BTS have wanted to collaborate with Australian pop star Troye Sivan for years. Now, it’s finally happening! Troye Sivan co-wrote “Louder Than Bombs”.
3. DJ Swivel
If anybody is super pumped about being a part of this album, it’s DJ Swivel, who previously collaborated with BTS on “Magic Shop”, “Euphoria”, “Love Maze”, and “I’m Fine”. For this album, he co-wrote “Moon” and “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal”. He’s been tweeting about it like crazy!

4. Adien Lewis
Adien Lewis is no stranger to K-Pop, having previously worked on songs for NCT Dream, SHINee‘s Taemin, and more. He worked on BTS’s “Inner Child” as a songwriter.
5. ARCADES
ARCADES previously worked with BTS on “Jamais Vu” and “Mikrokosmos”, and now this duo is credited with co-writing “Inner Child”.

6. KOOLKID
KOOLKID is a current soloist and former contestant on The X Factor. He co-wrote “Mikrokosmos” on BTS’s previous album, and worked on “Inner Child” for this one. Like many of the artists involved in this project, KOOLKID showed BTS love on Twitter once the track list went public.

7. Ellis Miah
DJ Ellis Miah, a producer and singer-songwriter, is also a co-writer for “Inner Child”. A total of four artists worked on this song with BTS.

8. Allie X
Canadian visual artist and singer-songwriter Allie X has previously collaborated with Troye Sivan, who co-wrote “Louder Than Bombs” with her Leland, and Bram Inscore.
9. Bram Inscore
This American producer/songwriter is credited with co-writing and co-producing “Louder Than Bombs”.
10. Leland
Leland is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer, who previously worked with Troye Sivan, Allie X, and a number of other pop singers. For MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 he co-wrote “Louder Than Bombs”.
11. Clyde Kelly
Fun fact: BTS’s “Black Swan” is American rapper Clyde Kelly‘s first-ever collaboration as a songwriter. How’s that for bragging rights? This self-proclaimed “young hustler” co-founded his own independent label, Halliburton Productions, in 2015.
12. Candace Sosa
Singer-songwriter Candace Sosa worked on two songs for this album: “Moon” and “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal”. She has co-written other BTS hits, including “Mikrokosmos”, “Euphoria”, “Magic Shop”, “I’m Fine” and “Love Maze”.
13. Caesar & Loui
Caesar & Loui are a Swedish duo with plenty of K-Pop songwriting experience. They wrote songs for Red Velvet, LOONA, Monsta X, and many more. For BTS, they co-wrote “Moon”.
14. Vince Nantes
Filipino-American songwriter Vince Nantes co-wrote “Black Swan” for MAP OF THE SOUL: 7.
15. August Rigo
August Rigo is a Filipino-Canadian songwriter/producer who has written for NCT Dream and EXO. He is one of the creative minds behind BTS’s “Black Swan”.
16. Halsey
Halsey, BTS’s good friend and collaborator, features on “Boy With Luv”. This song is the title track on BTS’s previous album, MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA.
17. Melanie Fontana – “Boy With Luv”
American EDM artist Melanie Fontana co-wrote “Boy With Luv”, and performed it with BTS and the BTS band Ghost on Saturday Night Live. Afterward, she called it the “highest high point” she could ever imagine.
18. Emily Weisband – “Boy With Luv”
This “Boy With Luv” collaborator was surprised to be asked to work on the song. At the time, she was already a BTS fan, as a Nashville songwriter who is largely outside of the pop world, she had no idea how BTS even found out about her!
19. Michel “Lindgren” Schulz – “Boy With Luv”
Melanie Fontana‘s husband, Michel “Lindgren” Schulz, also participated in writing “Boy With Luv”. Together, he and his wife have co-written hundreds of songs, including this top charting Billboard Charts single for BTS.
20. Sunshine
Songwriters Ellen Berg and Cazzi Opeia are a power duo for EKKO Music who have written hit songs for artists around the world. They are credited as writers for “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal”.
21. JeL
Alex Karlsson and Alexej Viktorovitch are a Stockholm-based duo under EKKO Music’s umbrella. The also participated in the writing for “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal”.
22. Ed Sheeran
Last on this list, but certainly not least, is acclaimed singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. He co-wrote “Make It Right” with Fred Gibson, Benjy Gibson, Jo Hill, and BTS’s rap line.
