1. Former 2NE1 member Minzy revealing what Yang Hyun Suk told the group

In an interview with Billboard, former 2NE1 member Minzy shared that her former boss, Yang Hyun Suk, constantly told the 2NE1 members that they were “ugly”. Minzy also shared that these comments hurt them, as the group was receiving similar comments from malicious netizens.

People, netizens were critiquing the fact that you know, we were not the prettiest group. We were the ‘ugly group.’ I didn’t know how to process that, I held that in. It was tough. [As a group], we pretended it was not a big deal and tried to forget about it, but you can’t forget about it — it’s tough. I was trying to keep up with the other girls in the group in terms of maturity, but when you’re up against these girl groups who look like models and you’re doing something different — cool, but different — you deal in a different way.”

Not only that, but Minzy also revealed that YG Entertainment kept delaying her solo debut, which ultimately caused her to leave the company.

2. Former Nine Muses member Kyungri revealing how the company CEO mistreated her

In 2016, Kyungri revealed that Star Empire Entertainment‘s CEO, Shin Joo Hak, often ignored her greetings whenever they bumped into each other. Kyungri also shared that Shin Joo Hak didn’t do this to other people in the company, such as ZE:A‘s Siwan.

After Kyungri revealed this, many netizens were furious, as they believed that the CEO only treated people with respect if they were popular.

Kyungri eventually left Star Empire Entertainment in 2019, and some believe that she threw some shade at the company as soon as she left.

3. Fanatics getting sexually harassed by a company staff member

Several of the Fanatics members were doing a live broadcast, and they were seen wearing short skirts and had nothing to cover their legs. Someone was then seen giving some jackets to the members so that they could cover their legs.

However, after the jackets were given, a male staff member could be heard asking this person why they covered the members’ legs, as well as the sound of a slap.

What are you doing, covering [their legs] up? We’re trying to show them, why are you covering it? Are you stupid?

Netizens were furious due to this male staff member, and some said that the members were getting sexually harassed.

Not long after, Fanatics’ agency, FENT, released an apology.

In 2019, Jackson confronted a sasaeng fan who leaked both his and his parent’s address in Hong Kong.

Many netizens were furious at this sasaeng fan for crossing the line, and many called for JYP Entertainment to take action.

5. Choi Jong Hoon using social media during police investigations

In 2019, Choi Jong Hoon faced immense backlash from netizens when it was shown that he was engaging in social media while he was going through police investigations on charges of circulation of illegal videos. Choi Jong Hoon liked an Instagram picture of himself reporting to the police, as well as liking another post from another account.

Many netizens criticized him for not reflecting on his actions.
