The BLACKPINK Members As “Gossip Girl Reboot” Characters, Purely Based On Fashion
We all know that BLACKPINK‘s styling early on from around 2017-2018 was very focused around the rich, elite, prep-girl look, especially with promotions for “As If It’s Your Last”. The look totally screamed Gossip Girl with an edge for us, so here’s a little mixup with what we like to call, “The BLACKPINK Members As Gossip Girl Reboot Characters”!
1. Jisoo and Audrey Hope
Jisoo’s look is very classy and understated, elegant but never boring! With a focus on the au naturel, we can totally see Jisoo rocking similar pieces in Dior. Rich, sure. But also down-to-earth.
Check out Jisoo in a similar outfit.
Comfort is also key for Jisoo, which is why we see parallels with the large oversized sweaters. However, if one thing was off, since we can’t ever find a perfect match, we’d say that while Audrey leans more towards trousers, Jisoo is rarely seen in them!
Jisoo’s makeup look is also similar to Audrey’s. Simple, clean, with a pop of color on the lips in a nude shade. Skin is porcelain, eyebrows are immaculate, and our wigs? Snatched.
Similar vibes.
2. Rosé and Zoya Lott
We see Rosé’s style as the perfect mix of feminine and tomboy. Rosé often combines feminine silhouettes with little punk edges. We can totally see Rosé in this figure hugging maxi dress, topped off with casual sneakers.
Not quite the same, but you get the feel.
Rosé would slay this pinafore, perhaps if only it were a little shorter! Even the tie is perfect!
Rosé would’ve rocked a version that showed off her tiny waist.
Another maxi dress! Rosé loves to wear maxi dresses. We love the combat boots as an edgy touch.
3. Lisa as Julien Calloway
Julien’s casual yet oh-so-modern cool girl style is perfect for Lisa. We love the pairing of an avant-garde luxury bag and leather boots with a hoodie.
Lisa rocking the casual fits.
We love that she’s always wearing shorts with her school ‘fits! So much more comfortable. Shirts are also always untucked.
Julien is not all about the casual look. She can also rock a couture gown, just like Lisa can. We love how this dress is glam but not over-the-top and keeps its edge.
We loved the couture Lisa rocked in “LALISA”.
4. Jennie as Monet and Luna
This pair was almost always together as partners-in-crime so we’d count them as one anyway. They embody Jennie’s duality in style. On stage, Jennie is a fierce diva, but off-stage, she’s casual and cute. She also loves mixing it up between sexy pieces and girly dresses.
Jennie actually wore the top Monet wore in the show here, during a performance for “Pretty Savage”. We also think she would adore the white layered dress adorned with gold stars Luna rocks.
The emblemed blazer detail and the ribboned ruffled shirt screamed Jennie for us, so did the pumps over white socks.
Luna rocks a casual crop top and denim jacket combination. We could see Jennie in it on days off.
The tweed jacket and chains and ribbons choker? So Jennie. The corset-buttoned, puff-sleeved top? Also very Jennie.
What do you think of this match-up?
