6 Times BLACKPINK Wore Outfits Better Than The Runway Models
In the fashion world, runway models act as blank canvases for designers. They present collections in a way that draws attention to the clothes they are wearing rather than themselves. K-Pop idols, on the other hand, often use fashion to pull off a particular concept and to highlight their own gorgeous visuals. Although both BLACKPINK and these models all slayed their luxurious looks, BLINKs might prefer BLACKPINK’s styling!
1. Greek Goddess Jisoo
For BLACKPINK’s 2022 Welcoming Collection, an annual merch set of goodies, Jisoo channeled her inner Greek goddess in this Dior dress.
Jisoo’s dress is part of the 2022 Autumn/Winter Dior Cruise collection, a collection inspired by the ancient Greek aesthetic. Jisoo switched up the runway look by wearing classic, white heels and understated gold jewelry.
2. Spring Queen Jennie
Jennie put her own fresh spin on this look from Chanel‘s 2019 Spring collection, but she kept the color palette similar to that of the original. No jacket, no necklace, just pure queen Jennie.
During one show, creative director Karl Lagerfeld had Chanel’s models walk barefooted through a sand installation to show off the collection’s nautical palette. The model wore a matching set with statement accessories.
3. Regal and Rich Rosé
Rosé wore this simple but stylish 2022 Spring dress from Saint Laurent ahead of the collection’s release. She wore the dress with a chunky necklace, a classic updo, and an underlayer of clothing.
The model, who was styled with statement sunglasses and thigh-high boots, emphasized the dress’s original sheer texture.
4. Dark Angel Lisa
For BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” music video, Lisa transformed into a dark angel in this sparkling black dress. For this look, her hair, nails, and accessories were all styled to give off a classy, femme fatale vibe.
5. Who’s Clueless about fashion? Not Jisoo.
At 2022 Paris Fashion Week, Jisoo made headlines in this yellow, plaid dress from Dior. Her ultraglossy bag is also Dior.
Jisoo’s styling made this Fall 2022 dress look more like Spring wear. Dior’s model was styled with a collared shirt and sweater befitting the intended season.
6. Street Chic Jennie
Creative director Virginie Viard showed off Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection of preppy tweed looks that featured electric, metallic colors and matching sets.
Rather than keeping this matching set as-is, Jennie paired it with solid black bottoms and sparkling chunky boots to make the look less preppy and more street-chic.
