Here Is Everything You Need To Know About BTS’s “7FATES: CHAKHO” Characters, According To The Members
In November 2021, it was announced that BTS would be releasing a webtoon at the start of 2022. The series, named 7Fates: CHAKHO, is an urban fantasy story inspired by the tiger hunters of the Joseon Dynasty.
Much like Save Me, 7Fates: CHAKHO, which was the group’s 2019 webtoon, it follows seven boys whose destinies are intertwined. Together, the CHAKHO face trials and tribulations while taking down the “Beom,” which is the Korean word for Tiger.
Recently, seven videos were posted ahead of the webtoon’s release where the members spoke about what fans can expect. Here is a look at what each member had to say about their characters from the series.
1. RM – Do Geon
As expected from BTS’s leader, RM’s character Do Geon is someone who has fought through adversity to make sure the world is safe. Do Geon is a crime expert who is skilled in weaponry and is both mentally and physically strong.
RM explains that Do Geon is extremely independent, making him reluctant to join the Chakho team. However, like BTS, fate brought the characters together, and it is inevitable that they would come together in the end.
2. Jin – Hwan
According to Jin, Hwan is someone who has suffered a lot of pain after the loss of his family. He started as an ordinary archer, but after his family died at the hands of a beom, his priority changes, and he sets his sights on hunting them down.
As expected, the character has parts of Jin’s personality, especially as the group’s oldest member described him as “Playful and mischievous.” Yet, Hwan is also very hardworking and excels at arching, which Jin added was something Koreans are good at referring to Olympian An San!
3. Suga – Cein
Suga’s character Cein has gone through a lot in his life, especially after nearly being eaten alive by a beom. Yet, he survived, and it only made the character stronger, just like the BTS members have gone through a lot and come out as more determined.
At a time where Cein is feeling traumatized and lost, he meets the other characters and slowly creates friendships that help him come to terms with everything that happened. Cein’s character showcases that friendship can help you, even when you are at your darkest point.
4. J-Hope – Hosu
Like the other characters, Hosu has also had a tough time with the beom and was kidnapped by the villains. Yet, to survive it, Hosu went to extreme lengths in the den, even if it was something that he wouldn’t normally do.
Yet, J-Hope teases that Hose is something more complex and that he is known for having “Golden eyes.” Whether it is to with his personality or some secret skill, ARMYs will just have to stay tuned when it comes out.
5. Jimin – Haru
Jimin starts by spoiling one viral piece of information about Haru, the Korean word for “day,” by saying that, unlike the other characters, he isn’t human…
Yet, he then revealed that Haru was a rock that guarded the gate to the beom’s world, and somehow, the rock then turned into a human being to join Chakho. After being alive for so long, he has this unrivaled knowledge and qualities that are beneficial to others.
6. V – Jooan
Unlike the other characters who the beoms have mistreated, V’s character Jooan falls in love with one. Jooan doesn’t see people’s flaws because of his caring and compassionate personality, very similar to V’s!
Like any story of toxic love, like Romeo and Juliet, the story between hunter and hunted is never easy. Jooan’s character shows the consequences of “forbidden love” and why sometimes, sacrifices need to be made.
7. Jungkook – Zeha
Like Jimin, Jungkook’s character Zeha isn’t all human and was born between a beom and mortal, making him half-human and half-tiger. Yet, it is something that Zeha only finds out after battling with a beom, and unsurprisingly, he is left shocked.
With a huge bounty on the beoms, Zeha uses his tiger powers to help his friends. At the same time, he is trying to hide who he is after being scared of being targeted the same way. Out of all the characters, Zeha might be the most complex.
With more being revealed about the webtoon, it isn’t surprising that ARMys are excited. You can read more about the initial announcement below.
