10+ Things You Might Have Missed In “BTS Island: In The SEOM”
BTS has a new game coming out on June 28, and it’s full of references to all things BTS. Here are 10+ things you might have missed in the BTS Island: In the SEOM trailer!
1. The Banana Incident
Years ago, Jungkook and J-Hope had a fight involving, you guessed it, a banana. The banana was a gift from a fan, given to Jungkook during BTS’s rookie days.
J-Hope and Jungkook mentioned the “Banana Incident” during BTS’s Burn The Stage documentary and on You Quiz on the Block.
He got a banana from his fan. Anyway, I took a banana and ate it. Then Jungkook asked who ate the banana.

2. This inflatable duck
A collage of photos appears near the end of the trailer. In one photo, the members are swimming around with an inflatable duck.
That duck could be inspired by this one from BTS’s BTS Summer Package 2018 (Saipan).
3. Somebody save J-Hope!
This bug-hater just can’t escape from spiders…
…even in a game!
4. Smeraldo flowers?
The blue flowers on the island look a lot like the famous smeraldo flowers that repeatedly appear in the BTS Universe.
5. The tent
BTS’s members work together to pitch a tent decorated with strings of lights.
Could it be based on this tent from In the SOOP?
6. The Mojito Bar
The mojito bar behind BTS has a color scheme and design that might remind some fans of…
…the “Dynamite” MV diner. Different place, same franchise?
7. The whale
This purple whale comes from BTS’s song “Whalien 52,” and it appears in several of BTS’s works, including “Heartbeat” MV and “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal” MV.
The whale also shows up as part of the gameplay, along with literal ARMY Bombs, “Butter” squares, and more.
8. The calico cat
This pretty kitty doesn’t appear in the trailer, but it does appear in the teaser images on the official BTS Island: In the SEOM website.
In the music video for his solo song “Serendipity,” Jimin cuddled this calico cat.
9. 4th Muster Onesies
In 2018, BTS held the BTS 4th Muster: Happy Ever After, a fan club event. The onesies worn at the event are included in this game.
10. V’s blast from the past
In 2016, V acted in a period K-Drama called Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth. His princely outfit is one of the many looks available for his character.
11. The return of Agust D
Suga’s alter ego, Agust D, appears in the game. Players can choose his “tyrant king” outfit from the “Daechwita” music video.
