1. “The One on the Left”
This nickname originated from BTS’s appearance at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. This was the first time they graced the BBMAs‘ red carpet, but certainly not the last. After spotting this handsome septet, locals found themselves asking, “Who’s the one on the left?”

After changing his outfit, the “Man in Black” became “The Guy in the Bandana” for BTS’s onstage collaboration with Lil Nas X. Together, they put on an unforgettable performance of Lil Nas X’s song “Old Town Road.”

2020 was a busy year for BTS! That summer, BTS held a live broadcast on CDTV Live (a Japanese late-night music broadcast show) to promote their album Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~. After listening to V’s soulful voice during the album’s title track, “Stay Gold,” locals needed to know more.
