Here’s 5 Things We Know So Far About NCT 127’s University Coding Crew Concept
NCT 127 recently began building their concept for their upcoming album! It centers around the nine members enrolled in college, but there’s much more than meets the eye. Here’s a breakdown of a few things we know so far!
1. NCIT
The group’s official Instagram account, as well as each members’ individual ones, was updated to show the group enrolled in NCIT: Neo Culture Institute of Technology.
The members included their graduation year in their bios!
- Class of 2022: Taeil
- Class of 2023: Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta
- Class of 2024: Doyoung, Jaehyun
- Class of 2025: Jungwoo, Mark, Haechan
So far, only Doyoung and Yuta have shared what majors they’re in! Yuta said that he’s in Computer Science & Engineering, while Doyoung studies Information Security.
2. Classes
NCT 127’s official Instagram updated their story with some of the members’ class schedules! The classes range from standard computer science classes, like Introduction to Programming, to more SMCU-related classes, like Introduction to KWANGYA Studies.

But in what could be an interesting twist or just a funny detail, the classes are taught by the NCT members themselves — or at least their namesakes. For example, Johnny’s alter-egos teach two classes: Suh Young Ho teaches Understanding Media and John Jun Suh teaches Stick Programming.
NCIT Student Schedule (Class) :
Jay Jeong : Theory of harmony between two worlds
Kim Dongyoung : Introduction to Programming
Lee Donghyuck : The Theory of KWANGYA Studies
Lee Minhyung : Understanding SMCU
Kim Jungwoo : Geolinguistics
John Jun Suh : Stick Programming

3. NCDC
The members all attend NCIT but they’re also all part of NCDC: NCIT Coding Crew! When the official Instagram account first updated its profile, it included NCDC in its bio.
Taeyong is the only member who has NCDC in his bio as well!
From the teaser and from previous NCT content, it’s apparent that each member plays an important role in the group’s work, whatever that may be.
4. Roommates
One thing that K-Pop groups and college students have in common is dorm life! Though Mark shares a room with his manager in real life, at NCIT he rooms with Johnny and one other mystery member.
The other roommate situations aren’t confirmed yet, but fans theorize it could be related to the recent livestream relay the members did! They were grouped in the following trios: Johnny, Mark, and Yuta; Taeyong, Doyoung, and Haechan; Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Taeil.
Haechan said that they just finished filming & got off work!

5. STICK
Though we aren’t sure exactly what STICK or STICKER are, it’s obvious that they are the main focus of NCT 127’s mission. Their teaser was titled “Who is STICKER” and throughout the video and concept photos, content relating to STICK can be found.
Their official Instagram updated to show that their access was “successful” and that the members are now located in STICK, so it may be an alternate dimension similar to KWANGYA!
There are tons of theories flying around online about NCT 127 and their role in the SMCU, but for now, these are the few things fans were given. Check out the recent teaser below!
