Here’s 7 Of NCT Mark’s Accomplishments That Fans Couldn’t Be More Proud Of
In honor of NCT Mark‘s 22nd birthday, here is a list of some of major accomplishments he’s already got under his belt!
1. Debuts (yes, plural!)
Mark has a unique situation when it comes to debuts, especially being in SM Entertainment‘s ever-expanding group, NCT.
He first debuted at the age of 14 in SM Rookies, where fans fell for his raw talent and shining personality.
Then he debuted in 2016 with NCT U‘s “The 7th Sense”…
… then again that same year with NCT 127…
…then again with NCT DREAM!
He’s also “debuted” in NCT’s full group projects like NCT 2018 and NCT 2020.
He is also the maknae of SuperM, where he debuted with legendary seniors SHINee‘s Taemin, and EXO‘s Baekhyun and Kai, as well as three of his fellow NCT members.
If we count NCT’s full group projects as separate debuts, that would mean Mark has debuted a total of seven times! He certainly deserves his title as pro-debuter.
2. Music Show Wins
NCT got their first music show win in 2017 with NCT DREAM’s “My First and Last.” Now, they have received 38 wins! Mark works hard in each of his units, and fans are proud that his efforts are being rewarded.
3. Industry Awards
NCT have also received awards from both Korean and international awards shows! From winning Best New Artist at the 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards…
…to getting Album of the Year at the Asia Artist Awards in 2020, Mark has received dozens of awards and nominations.
4. Brand Ambassador
Mark is one of the brand ambassadors of Nature Republic, along with the other members of NCT 127.
He recently did a photoshoot for Dior’s Summer 2022 Mens Collection that showed off his visuals and his modeling skills!
Fans are eagerly waiting to see what brands Mark will have an official partnership with in the future.
5. Songwriting Credits
As a rapper, Mark is constantly contributing lyrics for his groups’ songs. Even as a kid, Mark knew he had a passion and talent for writing; he wanted to be an author!
His natural and polished skills shine in all his works, including the short poems he posts on his personal Instagram.
Mark currently has 50 songs credited to him through the Korea Music Copyright Association, the highest number of all the NCT members.
Mark has said his dream is to be a singer-songwriter, and fans are ready to support his future projects!
6. World Tours
With NCT and SuperM, Mark has toured around the world, performing in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.
The Canadian singer has even gotten to play arenas in his hometown, Vancouver!
Though touring is on hold until further notice, to protect everyone in light of the pandemic, both Mark and his fans are longing for the day he is able to perform live in front of an audience again.
7. Multi-Million Album Sales
NCT’s growth over the past few years has been unbelievable, with this past year alone doubling their sales! As a member of NCT, Mark has sold over 11.9 million albums.
Combined with the sales of SuperM, which are about 735,000, Mark’s groups have sold well over 12.6 million copies!
Mark Lee has years of experience, millions of album sales, and uncountable talent to his name. At the age of 22, he has already accomplished so much. Fans are so proud of what he’s done, who he is, and where he’ll go—he’s truly limitless!
