Here’s What Happened To The Members Of 6MIX, The Original Members Of TWICE
One of the most charming points about TWICE is the chemistry between the members.
While it might be hard to image, TWICE was originally supposed to debut as a 6 member group called 6MIX. The members consisted of Jihyo (whose name was Jisoo at the time), Cecilia, Jeongyeon, Nayeon, Minyoung, and Lena. However, Sana replaced Cecilia in the lineup once she left JYP Entertainment.
The group went through multiple line up changes, and their debut got delayed many times. JYP Entertainment eventually scrapped the idea of 6MIX and decided to produce the show SIXTEEN, which is the program that created TWICE. While Sana, Jihyo, Jeongyeon, and Nayeon all ended up debuting as TWICE members, the other members of 6MIX all ended up leaving JYP Entertainment at some point. Here’s a look at what happened to the other supposed members of 6MIX.
1. Minyoung
Minyoung is quite well known, as she was one of the contestants on SIXTEEN. Many were shocked once Minyoung was eliminated in SIXTEEN, as she was one of the longest trainees at the company, and many assumed that she would make the line up for TWICE.
After SIXTEEN concluded, Minyoung left JYP Entertainment. It’s currently unknown if she’s still trying to become an idol, as there have been no updates about her since she departed from the company.
2. Lena
Lena first made headlines when she featured on Sunmi‘s song “Full Moon”.
However, Lena left JYP Entertainment before SIXTEEN. It’s never been confirmed why she left the company, but some have rumored that she was forced out of the company.
It’s currently unknown if Lena has given up pursuing being an idol, as there have been little updates about her over the years. However, photos show that she is still quite close to the people she trained with.
Lena (Former 6MIX member) just shared photo of her with the members with the caption "Don't go… 😔😢" their friendship is just so 😭#TWICE #트와이스 pic.twitter.com/jWiPMrzzLO

3. Cecilia
Cecilia left JYP Entertainment before the beginning of SIXTEEN. Similar to Lena, it’s rumored that she was kicked out of the company. Since departing the company, Cecilia has been quite active as an actress in China.
