What We’re Going To Miss About The Inkigayo “MinNaHyun” MC Trio
The iconic SBS Inkigayo MC trio, MinNaHyun, have announced that February 28 will be their last final broadcast as MCs for the show. Their nickname MinNaHyun is a combination of their three names: MONSTA X‘s Minhyuk, APRIL‘s Naeun and NCT‘s Jaehyun.
Fans love watching Inkigayo every Sunday, not only for the incredible performers but also for the MCs’ antics and undeniable chemistry. Here’s are some of our favourite moments and things we’re going to miss about the trio.
1. Their coordinated outfits
Every week, they would appear in coordinated outfits, matching each other perfectly with just enough of their own flair shining through.
These all-white ensembles made them look truly regal.
The three of them pulled off these velvet outfits so well!
2. Their cute birthday celebrations
Whenever one of their birthdays came around, the other two would be sure to celebrate their special day well. Here’s Jaehyun’s birthday setup!
Naeun’s was adorable, with cartoon character balloons.
For Minhyuk’s birthday, they were surrounded by puppies as a nod to his representative animal.
3. Their “rock-paper-scissor” ending stages
The Inkigayo end stage would usually feature all the artists who performed that day, but after COVID-19 restrictions, only the MCs and the artist(s) nominated for the award would stay on stage. On the days where the winning artists were not present, MinNaHyun would take the spotlight, with the loser of “rock-paper-scissors” dancing to the winning song.

4. Their special MC stages
On their first day as MCs, the three of them performed a cover of Cool‘s “Jumpo Mambo.”
Ten months into their roles, they held another special stage, this time performing “Bada (The Sea) by UP and showing off how well they work as a team!
5. Their behind-the-scenes Instagram story posts
Along with showing off their teamwork, the trio would show off their friendship with behind-the-scenes selfies posted to their Instagram stories. This two-part story on Jaehyun’s Instagram is absolutely adorable!
Minhyuk showed off their cute Christmas outfits on his story.
6. The way they playfully tease each other

7. Their cosplay of the ultimate besties
Although this was (probably) unintentional, fans were quick to notice the similarities between their jackets and Cartoon Network‘s We Bare Bears.
They couldn’t have dressed up as a more fitting trio!
Although we’re sad to see MinNaHyun go, we wish them all the best and hope to see them together again very soon!
