6 Times Kang Hyewon And Jo Yuri Showed Off Their Cute Chemistry During Elle Korea’s Balance Game
Former IZ*ONE members Kang Hyewon and Jo Yuri recently shot a pictorial together for Elle Korea.
In between photos, the pair sat down to answer questions in what was termed a Chemistry Workshop. To start out they played a round of the balance game to see if their tastes matched up. Here are 6 times the pair showed off their adorable friendship during the game:
1. Dogs or Cats?
The first question the pair got was a simple one; to choose between dogs or cats. Both chose dogs which might suggest some chemistry until Hyewon decided to call out something fishy.
“You said ‘cats!’ before,” she exclaimed while Yuri tried to dodge her suspicions.
Almost immediately, Yuri gave in and admitted she just wanted to share an answer with Hyewon, which is why her answer shifted.
2. “Can you live without me?”
The next question was a bit harder, asking the pair if they’d rather “[live] without a phone for a year vs [live] without friends.” This is where the pair’s harmony ended. Hyewon opted to give up her phone while Yuri confidently said she’d give up her friends.
Hyewon quickly turned to Yuri and asked “can you live without me?” which prompted some giggles.
Yuri smartly replied that while she could contact Hyewon from her phone that, “No, I absolutely cannot live without you.”
3. Unnie or Hyung?
When asked if they’d prefer to use, “Unnie or Hyung” the pair again were at odds with Hyewon answering Unnie while Yuri said Hyung.
The editors of the video had to clarify that what happened next wasn’t a screenshot, but the pair staring at each other in disbelief.
Yuri then explained her choice by sharing that because she can’t usually use the title of “Hyung”, it would be a “unique and cool experience.”4. “…crossing the line.”
When asked “What’s tastier- Rice with yogurt vs. Sushi with ketchup?” the pair was initially stunned by the combination of foods before both picking the sushi.
Yuri explained that rice with yogurt is “kind of…crossing the line.”
She then shared that while the pair don’t each sushi, the combo with ketchup was definitely more palatable than the yogurt to which Hyewon agreed.
5. Read-zoned?
In what may have been the most revealing question of the interview, the girls were asked “What’s more annoying- Read-zoned on Kakao Talk vs. Answering with initials only?” The first sign of trouble for Hyewon might’ve been when Yuri said she was “so sure about this one.”
While both picked being read-zoned, Yuri had experience to backup her answer. She quickly turned to Hyewon and asked “so why do you read-zone me?”
Hyewon sweetly shared that she planned to reply the following day which patched up the pair’s very brief disagreement.
6. Cherry Jubilee
The final balance game question showed two sets of Baskin Robbins ice cream combos for the girls to pick from. While both girls picked the pink colored set of scoops, in explaining her choice, Hyewon dropped a bombshell on Yuri.
“But they both have a trap,” she said before sharing the danger of the Cherry Jubilee flavor. Upon hearing this attack on Cherry Jubilee ice cream, Yuri’s face fell.
Yuri revealed Cherry Jubilee was the reason she chose those scoops. The girls figured out a solution when they realized that this mismatch of tastes means they can “share without fighting.” “How nice!”
We’re so glad to see these two continue their sweet (if not a bit chaotic) friendship. To see the full interview check out the link below:
