Why K-Drama Viewers Dropped These “Disappointing” Series In November
When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some highly anticipated series fell flat for views in November, even those with creative plot ideas and all-star casts.
1. Strong Girl Nam Soon
This sequel to the wildly successful series Strong Girl Bong Soon follows the cousin of Do Bong Soon, Gang Nam Soon. Like her cousin, she was born with superhuman strength.
This show was expected to be a hit, but some viewers passed it over for other shows…

Although many fans praised the series, for some the “dark” subject matter was too much to handle.

3. Heartbeat
2PM’s Taecyeon plays a human-vampire hybrid who lost his chance to become fully human, thanks to being woken up from his enchanted slumber early. He ends up sharing his house with the cold-hearted, hardworking woman (played by Won Ji An) who disturbed him.
Some viewers were enjoying the series — until they caught wind of the ending. Without getting into spoilers, let’s just say that it isn’t what typically plays out in a romantic comedy.

4. The Forbidden Marriage
Based on a webtoon, The Forbidden Marriage is a Joseon Dynasty-era K-Drama. After the death of the crown princess, the king bans marriage for everyone. Naturally, many citizens aren’t happy about it, but for one swindler, it’s the perfect opportunity to pull off a con: pretending to be possessed by the late crown princess.
Some viewers were not impressed with the series’ storytelling, and they found some characters hard to like.

5. Destined With You
What happens when a lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse becomes entangled with a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom? An unexpected romance, of course!
Although many fans loved the cast, that wasn’t enough to keep them invested in the show’s “mediocre” writing.
