5 “Disappointing” K-Drama Series That Viewers Stopped Watching In October
When an exciting, new show is announced, K-Drama fans eagerly add it to their watch lists. Unfortunately, some highly anticipated new series, along with popular older series, fell flat for viewers in October.
1. Dear Hyeri
Dear Hyeri follows an announcer who develops a new personality due to her past. The series kept viewers engaged — until it didn’t.
For some viewers, the series fell apart as it was nearing its finale, but others couldn’t even make it through the first few episodes due to not liking the characters or plot developments. For some of these viewers, not even a charming performance from leading lady Shin Hye Sun could save Dear Hyeri.

2. Love Next Door
This Netflix series is a light-hearted romance about two childhood frienemies who reunite as adults after they become neighbors.
Although many viewers loved this show’s rom-com shenanigans and classic K-Drama comedy, others didn’t like the leads’ endless “bickering,” the pacing, and the inconsistent tone.
