These Are The 10 Current Most Handsome Korean Actors, According To Fans
Korean entertainment website Kpopmap recently had K-Drama fans vote for who they believe to be the most handsome Korean actors for the month of June! With 33 actors to choose from, 10 rose to the top of the list as of June 28. Here are those actors that fans currently think are the most handsome in the industry!
10. Rowoon
Rowoon, an actor as well as a member of SF9, began his acting career in 2017 with the drama School 2017. He snagged his first lead role in 2019’s Extraordinary You, and it won him the “Best New Actor” award at the MBC Drama Awards that year! Most recently he has been starring on She Would Never Know.
9. Kim Seon Ho
Kim Seon Ho began his acting career in 2009 as a theater actor, and made his television debut in 2017 with the drama Good Manager. In 2018 he had his first lead role in You Drive Me Crazy, a short broadcast, and then had his first lead role in a full-length series in 2019 for Catch the Ghost. He’s set to star in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha later this year.
8. Im Si Wan
Also going by the mononym Siwan in the K-Pop group ZE:A, this celebrity began his acting career in 2012 with the drama Moon Embracing the Sun. He won his first award in 2013 for his role in The Attorney, earning the “Best New Actor” award at the Max Movie Awards and the Marie Claire Film Festival. His first big leading role was in 2016’s A Melody to Remember, and most recently started in the 2020-2021 drama Run On.
7. Ji Chang Wook
Ji Chang Wook began his career as a musical theatre actor, and had his onscreen debut in 2006 with the film Days…, though he didn’t “officially” debut until 2008 in the movie Sleeping Beauty. He had his first lead role in 2010’s 159-episode Smile Again, which won him the “Best Actor in a Daily Drama” award at the KBS Drama Awards. Since then, he has snagged many big roles in a number of K-Dramas, and is set to star in The Sound of Magic later this year.
6. Yoo Seung Ho
Yoo Seung Ho began as a child actor in 2000 in the drama Daddy Fish, and through several roles as a child, earned the title of “Nation’s Little Brother”. He played more mature roles in his teens, up until his enlistment period, and his first post-enlistment role was as an adult for the TV adaptation of the webtoon Imaginary Cat. In total, he’s been in over 30 dramas and 13 films, and will play a role in When Flowers Bloom, I Think of the Moon later this year.
5. Kim Young Kwang
Kim Young Kwang started his career as a model, and began acting in 2008. His first more notable role in film was 2012’s Runway Cop, and his first television role was in the 2013 drama Good Doctor. His role in 2014’s Pinocchio earned him the “New Star” award at the SBS Drama Awards, and in 2018 he earned the “Best New Actor” award at the Baeksang Arts Awards for his role in the movie On Your Wedding Day. In 2021, he starred in the movie Mission: Possible.
4. Cha Eun Woo
Cha Eun Woo, also known as ASTRO‘s Eunwoo, actually started acting before he was a K-Pop idol, with his first role in the 2014 film My Brilliant Life. It wasn’t until 2018, however, that he got his first lead role in the series Gangnam Beauty, which saw a sharp spike in his popularity. For his part in 2019’s Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung he won both the “Excellence Award for an Actor” and “Best Couple Award” (with co-star Shin Se Kyung) at the MBC Drama Awards. In 2021, he’s said to be taking part in the film Decibel.
3. Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk began his career as a model at the age of 15 in 2005, and in 2010 had his acting debut in the drama Prosecutor Princess. He began gaining popularity for his role later that year for his role in Secret Garden, and had his breakout role in the 2012 series School 2013 (which also earned him the “Best New Actor” award at the KBS Drama Awards). Since then, he’s starred in many dramas and won further awards, and after he finished his military enlistment in January this year, he most recently starred in a cameo role in The Witch: Part 2.
2. Yoon Shi Yoon
Yoon Shi Yoon had his first acting role in the 2009-2010 daily sitcom High Kick Through the Roof, which went on to win him the “Best Couple Award” alongside co-star Shin Se Kyung at the MBC Drama Awards. His first leading role was for the 2010 film Death Bell 2: Bloody Camp, and he had many more roles until his enlistment period from 2014-2016. His most recent role was for the 2020 action-romance drama Train.
1. Kim Min Jae
Kim Min Jae began his career as a rapper and was a first-generation trainee for CJ E&M. He featured in music stages for the company starting in 2014, the same year that he also debuted as an actor in the South Korean-Vietnamese drama Forever Young. From then until 2016, he worked as both a rapper and an actor, but seems to have shifted his main focus to acting in the last five years or so. He received a “New Star” award at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards for his role in Dr. Romantic, and his most recent project is the drama Dal-ri and Gamja-tang, set to come out this September.
