Only 3 K-Pop Girl Groups Have Broken Guinness World Records

In the history of K-Pop, only three girl groups have been able to break Guinness World Records. One of those groups went as far as doing it numerous times.
3. NewJeans — 1
On March 28, 2023, NewJeans became the “fastest K-Pop act to reach one billion streams on Spotify.”
The group did so with only six songs from their debut mini-album New Jeans.
2. Girls’ Generation — 1
On May 11, 2017, Girls’ Generation became the group with the “most Melon Music Awards won.”
The girl group has thirteen registered wins from the Melon Music Awards.
1. BLACKPINK — 11
BLACKPINK holds the title for the most Guinness World Records broken by a K-Pop girl group. As a group and individually, they’ve broken eleven records.
