The Only 4 K-Pop Groups In Hanteo History To Sell Over 1 Million Albums In A Week
Hanteo is one of South Korea’s major music charts, alongside Gaon, and has a specific system of counting global K-Pop album sales in real-time. Here are the only four groups in Hanteo history that managed to sell over a million albums in a week or less.
1. TXT
Making their first entry into Hanteo’s first-week million-sellers, TXT’s latest mini-album minisode 2 : Thursday’s Child did more than earn over 1.2 million streams on the first day of its release.
Hanteo reported that the mini-album’s sales reached 1,072,854 copies in just two short days.
2. NCT DREAM
NCT DREAM’s first full-length album Hot Sauce was so highly anticipated and well-received by fans that it sold 1,010,948 copies in seven days. Because they’re always growing, they recently managed to beat their own record.
A year later, they came back with their second full-length album, Glitch Mode, taking only four days to sell over a million copies. By the end of the week, Hanteo reported the group had sold 1,405,199.
3. SEVENTEEN
Continuing their streak of selling over a million albums with every release, SEVENTEEN didn’t only reach that goal once or twice. With their last three mini-albums, they became triple million sellers on Hanteo.
