8 K-Pop Groups Set To Debut In The Second Half Of 2022
Several new K-Pop groups have already debuted in 2022 — some of which have become incredibly popular already — and the rest of the year will see even more new artists debuting! Many groups have familiar faces from survival shows and other places, which build the hype up even more. Here are 8 K-Pop groups set to debut in the second half of 2022!
1. AngelRus
AngelRus is a 6-member girl group under LPA Entertainment. Their members include Maye, Emma, Ina, Ayo, Christina, and Kira, and their debut is set to be around November 2022. Not a lot is known about their members yet, but Christina is Japanese-American, and Emma is Moroccan!
2. AMX NEWKIDS
AMX NEWKIDS is an upcoming seven-member girl group under AMX Entertainment. The members include Hyejin, Haeun, Eunsu, Gaeun, Sun, Seungjoo, and Daeun, and their debut is set for October 2022. Not a lot is known about their members yet either, but Hyejin and Gaeun both appeared on the variety show PPONG School as backup dancers for Jang Minho.
3. BEBEZ
BEBEZ is a seven-member girl group that’s set to debut under Blockberry Creative, the same label that LOONA is under. Their debut date is set for some time in the rest of 2022, and only three members have been revealed so far: Choi Yeyoung, Ryu Sion, and Joungmin. All three are former contestants on Girls Planet 999, and Yeyoung is a former trainee of both The Black Label and Polaris Entertainment.
4. MuuTive
MuuTive, previously known as PBT, is a four-member girl group under GKM NEO Entertainment. Their debut is set for August 1, 2022, and the line-up consists of Grex, Ayu, Ahryung, and Jimin. Grex is a former member of YOURS, Ayu is a former pre-debut member of Hit Girlz, Ahryung was a backup dancer for Chungha at the MGMA opening stage, and Jimin is a former member of I&Girls, A-DEAN, DMZA, and YOURS.
5. IOLITE
IOLITE is an upcoming seven-member girl group under an unrevealed agency. The members that have been revealed so far are Hyemin, Kurumi, Minjeong, Anna, Ahee, and Siya, and their debut is set for August 2022. Minjeong was a contestant on Produce 101, K-Pop Star 2, and Dancing High, and is also a former trainee of Starship Entertainment and P NATION. The rest of the members are not well-known yet!
6. Witchers
Witchers is a five-member pre-debut girl group under Blooming Entertainment. Their members consist of Saebom, Nariu, Roa, Jiyoon, and Risia, and their debut is planned for later this month. Nariu is a former pre-debut member of the girl group WishGirls, Saebom is a former member of myB, and Risia is a former trainee of Dreamcatcher Company and backup dancer for Dreamcatcher during their “Scream” era.
7. ABLUE
ABLUE is an upcoming six-member boy group under J Star Entertainment. Their line-up consists of Seunghee, H, Seongsoo, ON, YOU, and Sukjun, and their debut is set for some time in the next couple of months. H has already debuted as a soloist and is a former member of ATK, BECZ, Brick Five, and KingdomS; Seunghee is a former member of Limit; Seongsoo is a former member of BECZ; YOU is a former member of ATK, BECZ, Brick Five, and KingdomS; and Sukjun is a former member of Limit.
8. ATBO
ATBO is a seven-member pre-debut boy group under IST Entertainment. All of the members — Junseok, Junmin, Hyunjun, Rakwon, Seunghwan, Yeonkyu, and Bin — participated on the survival show The Origin – A, B, or What?, and they’re set to debut on July 27. Rakwon is also a former trainee at SM Entertainment, and Yeonkyu is a former trainee at YG Entertainment who competed on Treasure Box.
